STEAMe Acceptable AI Usage Policy

STEAMe’s online services allow you to interact with various third-party large language models and other AI models. STEAMe’s services are not intended for, and users shall not use the STEAMe online services or any of the AI models accessible therein for the following (or engage in any activities designed to facilitate the following):
- To generate any content that is illegal;
- To infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any individual’s or entity's rights (including, but not limited to rights in copyrighted content) or to generate defamatory content;
- To perform or facilitate dangerous, violent, illegal, or malicious activities or to promote or support others engaging in the same;
- To generate content that promotes or encourages hatred of another group of people;
- To generate content that supports or encourages violence, terrorism, or other serious harms;
- To promote or facilitate the sale of, or providing instructions for synthesizing or accessing, illegal substances, goods, or services;
- To generate sexually explicit content, including content created for the purposes of pornography or sexual gratification (e.g. sexual chatbots) or related to child sexual abuse or exploitation;
- To compromise the privacy rights of others, for example by submitting personal information as input in violation of privacy laws, or to generate personally identifying information for distribution or other harms;
- To generate content that impersonates an individual without explicit disclosure, in order to deceive;
- To track or monitor people without their consent;
- To generate knowingly false or misleading content that is, or is intended to be, disseminated in electoral campaigns;
- To engage in the illegal or unlicensed practice of any licensed profession including, but not limited to, legal, medical, accounting, or financial professional practices;
- To make automated decisions in domains that affect material or individual rights or well-being (e.g., finance, legal, employment, healthcare, housing, insurance, and social welfare);
- To generate or facilitate the distribution of spam, phishing, or to engage in click-bait activity;
- To generate or distribute content intended to misinform, misrepresent or mislead, including through misrepresentation of AI generated content by claiming content was created by a human, or represent generated content as original works;
- To engage in prompt injection or similar activities, or any other attempt to discover STEAMe or other AI model’s source code or other sensitive data; or
- To engage in “High-risk” activities, as defined under applicable AI legislation (e.g., the EU AI Act and the Colorado AI Act).
If you have any questions around acceptable use, or wish to report misuse of STEAMe or the AI models available therein, or if you discover that an output is inaccurate or harmful, please submit a report at support@steame.com.
We reserve the right to update this Acceptable AI Usage Policy from time to time.
Available AI Models and Available AI Model Terms
STEAMe’s online services allow you to directly interact with third-party AI models (“Available AI Models”). Your use of these Available AI Models via STEAMe is also governed by the terms of use, codes of conduct, and policies that the providers of these Available AI Models post, as located on each provider’s websites. We have tried to populate the current list of Available AI Models available via STEAMe below, alongside their relevant terms. However, we make no guarantee that this list is accurate, and you must review and comply with the relevant terms on your own. This list is subject to change by us at any time in our sole discretion. If you notice an inaccuracy in this list, please notify us at support@steame.com.
